Attended Claremont and Perth Art Schools many years ago. Studied mainly printmaking and graphic art as a hobby interest.  In recent years I have travelled extensively throughout remote areas of western, southern and central Australia. The soft peaceful landscapes of Central Australia were particularly inspiring. Albert Namatjira’s landscapes came alive. The camera has not stopped clicking. Went into every gallery we passed. My normal working career, as a land valuer, was spent throughout the agricultural areas of WA. Resided in Geraldton for a few years and 3 in Port Moresby. Back in my Wembley Downs studio my land, sea and streetscapes photos are converted onto canvasses using mainly oils (impasto style), applied with pallet knives, cake decorating utensils, paint scrapers, brushes and anything else that might create interest. My aim is to strip down images into simplified formats, but still retaining the essence of the image. City Beach seascapes are an ever present source of images no matter what season
